The book dies in silence, not in conflict. Cadence is how you notice silence while you can still fix it.
Monday, 45 minutes
Sort the book: going cold (no touch in 21 days, or a broken integration), open commitments, this week’s two conversations. If you cannot see those three piles in a list, fix the list before you send email.
Two conversations, not ten
One working session (scope, enablement, a deal) and one keep-warm that has a reason (a customer, a number, a date). “Just checking in” is how you train partners to ignore you.
One internal unblock
A product question, a legal redline, a seller who needs the sentence. Partnerships stall inside your company more often than inside theirs. Put the unblock on the calendar or it loses to whoever shouted last.
Multi-thread as you go
Every live partner should have two names on their side and two on yours. When someone leaves, the partnership should survive. Add the second name on a normal call, not after a resignation.
Quarterly
A short QBR with anyone who has a number. One slide: adoption, pipeline, next build. Then a decision: deepen, hold, or sunset.
If you cannot sunset, you cannot run a cadence. The calendar fills with ghosts.
